Avon calling!

Yes, that's right. Since more or less going offline, I've been a busy lady. Since the end of May, I've lost 39 pounds. I swim for over an hour twice a week and walk at least 20 miles per week. Well, you knew I'd have to do something with all that energy I used to put into online.

I was this close ---->|<---- to being hired by AT&T (where I've been contracting since WorldCom let me go last year), but then they did a cutback and hiring freeze. They let all of the contractors go except for the 5 they were actually going to hire, so I am hoping that after the 1st of the year they will make me an official employee. I vaguely remember what benefits are, heh.

In an effort to supplement my downsized income, I became an Avon lady in August. So far, I buy more than I make, lol, but I am having a blast. I truly love working with people. And, helping people find products that make them feel and look better is a gift to me. Currently, I have a customer base of about 10 - 20 customers. I often wish I could invite all of you over for an open house, but alas, you are scattered all over the world. As it turns out, however, I can still be your Avon lady anywhere in the world!

I became an Avon lady, because I am an avid buyer of their skin care treatments, beauty products, gifts, watches and jewelry. (Did you know that Avon has outsold Monet as the #1 costume jewelry sales company in the world for the past 5 years?) I even picked up an addiction to for a new fragrance after years of wearing none, or wearing only the Naturals (peach, sea or vanilla). Haiku. Yum, it smells so good! What a =poetic= fragrance for me!

You can order Avon online from just about anywhere in the world. I have not checked out costs in all the countries, but in the U.S. it is $5.95 for standard ground shipping. Yes, that is not as convenient as you being in my neighborhood and me hand delivering it to you for free, but there is a bonus. If you order $40 worth of product, you get a free gift. The free gift is normally valued at $40 or more. It's usually some type of beauty bag with treatments, lipstick, nail polish, etc. I love those things. And, if you don't, they will certainly make great gifts with the holidays coming.

Now, for me to get credit for your orders on my quest to join the President's Club ($10,000 in sales), you will need to input my business number when you fill out your order profile. This will make me your official Avon lady no matter from where you order. You will only have to fill this out once. They call this A-List registration. I believe once you register, they will send you coupons as well.
