Thoughts which are currently bouncing aimlessly in my, admittedly, slightly intoxicated, head:

  • The maca is having some serious side effects on Tint.

  • Tint is apparently dealing said maca to Phlegmmy.

  • Membership in the ladder is not mandatory for membership in Team Acro. Nobody in favor of resigning from the ladder said we should also resign from TA.

  • I doubt any team would stop playing us just because we weren't on the ladder. If they did, that team wouldn't be worth playing in the first place.

  • Casual Acro is where it's at (I've got two turntables and a microphone).

  • Though I probably hadn't even started playing Acrophobia when the Night Owls died; people who were on the team have said that they had more teams wanting to play them after they left TA, and that the decision delayed their inevitable demise. I'll take their word for it.

  • Team Acro is not pointless without the ladder. The ladder is not part of the concept of TA, it's nothing; it's only purpose is to encourage generic acro and to make seemingly sane people do totally vindictive and embarrassing things. The problem with the ladder isn't that nobody takes it seriously, it's that some people actually do take it seriously.

  • <sniff> If we ditched the ladder, I'd really miss that little match next to our names after we'd won five in a row.

  • I saw Secrets and Lies for the second time last night. Go rent it.

  • People named Arthur should not be allowed to have culture-oriented shows named "This is Art" or "Art on Art".

  • Nancy Griffith could sing about farts and it would sound beautiful.

  • I can get Fox and UPN by running my cable internet line to my TV. Why couldn't they have put some real stations on the same frequency as the internet?

  • Mike's Hard Lemonade tastes too good. I count on the negative reaction of my mouth to most alcoholic beverages to keep me from getting pissed drunk.

  • Am I the only one who was frightened of the Friendly Giant as a child? I mean this big freak kept a live chicken in a bag!


    • To sum up my points above, which I felt were all relevant to the debate; if being on the ladder really matters to some people, we should just stay on it. It's such a small thing really, and I'd hate to have resigning from the ladder used as an excuse for our downfall by some revisionist acro historian.
