Is tint slipping something into my water? All we need in Ontario is yet another foreign substance in our drinking water.

If poets can stay in the league and be off the ladder and satisfy everyone, it would be a dandy thing. As I said, it would be a moot point for the Tubbers because we would continue to play you with the same regularity we always have for the sheer fun we have in the match. There is no win/lose when we play poets, there never has been. We'd like to win but have always said that you would never hear a complaint from us about a loss to poets. Tubbers always send out ICQs following a game about how we played, poets are the only team in the league that I send ICQs to and I have reveived many congratulting us on a win. Our games may well be the "poster child" for friendly competition. There will always be teams and people who run to the ladder for their stats and their win loss ratios and to see that little match on fire. People cheat, they take the fun out of things, the take the game too seriously... I think that's unavoidable in any situation. (I personally vote for urine testing). There are teams I personally will not play for those reasons. I said to LS yesterday that a few of those kind of teams have been approached by our cappys and told "we will play you once. Your team is known for using key words (Oedipus, pyramids, caligraphy etc) and for team voting. If it happens, we will not play you again" And we have followed through on that and actually have had some good games against teams we never would play previously. I also think that it is unrealistic to believe that acros aren't recognized. I personally can find LS, tint, and bell (and almost ALWAYS phill's :( )from poets more often than not and it becomes a matter of trust that i will vote for my favourite acro up there. Competition may be healthy but it can also bring out the worst in people (/me hangs his head and gives permission to LS to repeat our Bridge confrontation from last evening). I think that too is unfortunately unavoidable. My stake in this entire conversation is not wanting to see the team I enjoy playing with the most fade away and that is my only fear.
