As I turn to walk out the door
With tears freely falling
I hear a calling I don�t want to answer
The call of freedom.
Can�t remember the last time
That I smiled, seems happiness is gone for good,
just as I soon shall be.
You have chosen our paths
That we shall have to follow.
You know longer want me.
Now without a doubt
I know
My life isn�t worth squat.
Maybe that is the answer,
I don�t know.
But for now I shall give you what you want
Your freedom.
I shall continue to search for a reason
Just to live.
At least for a little while.
I can�t help but wonder what it is
That I have done to cause you
Not to love me after all these years.
Maybe uncle Jack will provide
Some answers before he runs dry.
Maybe tomorrow will be a good day to die
But for now I shall just sit and wonder why
And see what tomorrow brings.
