We sat by the waters quietly,
now gone:
"What are you doing...? Are you with your friends...?

Are the afternoons slipping away through your fingers
like they are through mine.
Are you also thinking of me,
or looking for more...

Have you ever asked yourself the same question:
why is life so full of puzzles.
Where does the moon go, when in full glory.
Oh, but I have:
Why are your eyes so deep and jade.
And yes, there were moments when I thought I would
drown in them
and the depth only kept me asking why."

Do not take back your wholeheartedness
your wisdom and intellect. Leave something for tomorrow
so I could wonder in awe...

Tell me...
are you for real,
because I found you in some broken down alley of my dreams--
you stood there not knowing that my heart would quibble
after you leave.

I found you in New York,
when for a moment I thought I can see everything,
the future
and our eyes locked into nothingness.

Yes, I found you,
but you went back, the same way that you came and
now:
I follow many paths that would lead me to you.
