It appears Lori and I had the same idea, ie. the two lights in Manhattan dedicated to the memory of the deaths at the World Trade Center.

They stab to the infinite heavens
Monuments of light.
Lights to remember.
Lights to dedicate.
Defiant lights that speak to many,
To our friends
And
To our enemies.
They say:
"We refuse to surrender".
"We refuse to perish as a nation."
