There's a hollow fullness in my heart,
something that can't quite be explained.
It feels as though its withered inside,
and at same time, its hope can't be contained.

Sometimes the pain within is much
and I cry in my dreams at night.
Sometimes I feel like I'm such a beast
and sleep alone with beastly might.

Although the pain does come and go
sometimes I'm deleriously happy.
Sometimes I look back at previous clocks
and ooze with words over-used and sappy.

Have you been caught in this bi-polar state...
you don't know who the "real" you is?
I cry then laugh and rejoice, then ache.
Yet, I'm a creation of His.

I know that days will fade to dark
and some will linger on rose-colored clouds.
Some days I'll mourn the heart within
and some days...I'll just laugh out loud.
