"Die Gegner des internationalen Urheberrechtsabkommens ACTA feiern einen ersten Erfolg: Die polnische Regierung hat am Freitag die Ratifizierung des Vertragswerks ausgesetzt. "Ich teile die Ansicht derjenigen, die von unvollständigen Beratungen sprechen", sagte Ministerpräsident Donald Tusk am Freitag in Warschau. Die Argumente der Netzgemeinde seien berechtigt. Auch in Deutschland stößt das Anti-Piraterie-Abkommen (Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement) auf wachsenden Widerstand.

Bei den Beratungen seien Internetnutzer nicht gehört worden, bemängelte Tusk. Stattdessen seien vor allem Gespräche mit den Inhabern von Urheberrechten geführt worden. "So lange nicht alle Zweifel ausgeräumt sind, so lange wird der Ratifizierungsprozess ausgesetzt", betonte Tusk. Es müsse zudem geprüft werden, ob ACTA mit dem Landesrecht vereinbar sei. Für eine Gültigkeit des Abkommens ist die Zustimmung von Parlament und Präsident notwendig...."
