Family Background: Cole's father was a hunter who lived near the Elven city of Asterian. He fell in love with an Elven echantress, but only enjoyed one year of marriage. A dark cleric named Vayn stole her away for use as a mortal sacrifice in an evil ritual to release a powerful evil force from the depths of an Oblivion Realm. One effect of the ritual was to throw the victim's soul into peril, causing it to float through the Oblivion Realm in place of the spirit which was freed.
_Knowing that his lover could never rest in peace with Vayn still alive, Cole's father made it his life mission to destory the cleric no matter what the cost. He decided to entrust his infant son to an old friend, Hallinic, an Elven sage who lived in Asterian. Cole's father then wandred Olaria, living as a vagbond and beggar, searching every nook and crany for the dark cleric Vayn. During his search, he fell in love with a human woman named Rose, with whom he concived another son. Yet Cole's father could not be at peace and continued the pursuit of his enemy.
_After 10 years of searching, Cole's father met his enemy and managed to slay him. Having freed his departed wife's soul, he returned to his 10 year old son who had since been living with Hallinic learning small steps of Elven magic. When he reached his son, he gave him the optinon of staying in Asterian or living with him in the society of men. Cole choose to live with his father in the city of Plitus. It was there that he met his half brother and step mother for the first time, and was whole heartedly accepted into the family.
_As time passed, Cole began to learn the ways of war from his father, brother and friends in Plitus. He enjoyed the martial lifestyle and the old hunter stories of his father. Cole's half brother, Dyler, became intrested in the blacksmith trade and has shown a great amount of talent in that field. Cole had recently recieved word that the old sage Hallinic has become sick, and may not live through the next winter. Cole has decided to travel to Asterian to be with his old gaurdian and see him to the next world.
Other Notes: Cole is comfortable with both the ways of man and elf and is generally accepted in both societies. He is on a path of the warring mage, a man of magic who combines steel and will to defeat his foes.
_His personality is both firey and tempered, he is sensitive yet emotional. He is quick to trust and is a man of his word. He has no love for materialistic individuals and he values life above all other things.
_Cole's weapons of choice include two handed swords, long bows, staves and knifes. He prefers to wear no armor when engaged in combat, prefering magical protection over the encoumbering steel of mundane warriors.
