• She was smiling and in conversation when she emerged, another girl on her right, and a guy to her left - both also clad in black, suggesting that they were co-workers. Being a Thursday, they had had more than enough help around and it had ended up being an unusually quiet night for whatever reason, so things had gone smoothly and they were out of there a little early. When she spotted him on the bike, she couldn't help but laugh lightly in delight, and said goodnight to the pair - who linked fingers and disappeared off into the dark - before heading over to him. She hadn't forgotten that he would be there, but she had forgotten his promise to pick her up on the bike, so it was all very exciting. • He watched as the couple walked away and for the first time in a long time he wondered what it would be like to be like that with a woman. to hold her hand and kiss her whenever he wanted. His eyes drifted to Taylor as she approached, his head cocking to the side before he reached behind him and grabbed the helmet, gently tossing it to her. "Wanna go for a ride?" He questioned, he wanted to take her out on the bike for a bit before he took her home for the night, even though it was kind of late but hell, he didn't work and she didn't work till the next night he figured so he didn't think it would be a big deal to be out a bit late. • "Do I ever. But I can't.." She caught the helmet with a light laugh, but then leaned in when she was close enough to him to whisper in his ear. "I'm not dressed properly..." There was a teasing tone to her voice, though she was in fact wearing a skirt that evening - her more-often-than-not work attire - but she wasn't too worried, it would be fine, she would just be a little chilly. Her jacket was plenty warm, and she would be hiding behind him anyway. She stood up straight again and inspected the helmet in her hands before tipping her head back so her hair was back over her shoulders and pulling it slowly up, her brows furrowed as she got it settled on her head and looked to him for approval, until to smother another laugh of amusement. • He watched her get the helmet situated before he shifted to reach down into his backpack which was hooked beneath him. He tugged out a small navajo style blanket, handing it to her before he scooted up on the bike to allow her room to get on, keeping it steady. She could cover up with the blanket, he had thought about the wind chill before he left the house and had grabbed it just in case. "Least you wore a jacket." He half grumbled before he revved up the engine, causing a few people to curiously glance their way though he didn't pay any attention to the eyes that were cast in their direction. • Smirking a little at his grumblings, she took the blanket with a 'thanks' and then climbed on up. She scooted up close to him as instructed and made sure the blanket was secured so it would help keep her warm but wouldn't get blown away. She was about to say something, but it was loud and it was nothing important, so she just swallowed her words - not a usual practice for her, but these were new circumstances. Finally, once she was all settled, she wrapped her arms tightly around his waist, fingers of one hand twisting into his jacket - surprised to find herself actually a little nervous. • He smiled warmly, tipping his head to the side for a moment - no one could see his expression so he didn't feel so nervous about expressing it. He just liked the way she wrapped her body so tightly around his, like she was so sure he would protect her no matter what - and he would - it was just nice to have someone have that kind of faith in him. He glanced back at her for a moment, just checking to make sure she was ok before he spoke again. "Just follow my body." And with that last pointer they were off. • She nodded at his words even though he wasn't looking at her and then she spent the first few minutes just clinging to him. Her eyes were locked on the back of his neck before she finally realized that this was all there was to it and then she begun to actually enjoy the ride. It was refreshing and liberating, and she did feel perfectly safe with him. From the moment they had met, she had felt completely protected and taken care of whenever he was around, so even now she trusted that he would look out for her. • He rode on for about forty minutes before he pulled the bike over near the waterfront. They in a fairly isolated area but people were within sight distance because he didn't want to make her uncomfortable. Parking the bike, he slid off and then helped her off, walking around a bit to stretch out his legs before he headed back over to her. Gently, his calloused hands swept beneath her chin to unbuckle the strap of the helmet and then gently pull it off of her, careful not to get any of her hair tangled. • She loosened her hold on him once they had stopped and then accepted his help to get off the bike, leaving the blanket there on the seat. She smoothed her skirt and then tipped her head back when he reached for the helmet and waited patiently for him to pull it off. She was smiling when she was all sorted out and gave his arm a brief squeeze before shoving her hands into the pockets of her jacket. "That's fun! Really great... Next time, we should go faster." Her tone was teasing, but she nodded firmly too - her fears had dissipated and she had every confidence in his driving skills to keep her safe. • He gazed down when she put her hands into her pockets and then took a step towards her, gently coaxing them out of the pockets. He carefully cupped her small, delicate hands it is much larger, rougher ones and rubbed softly before he brought them up to his mouth to blow warmth onto them, pressing a kiss to the knuckle of one as he did so. "Mittens and pants next time." He stated firmly before he shifted to turn look at the ocean, though he kept rubbing her hands between his and occasionally lifting them up to his lips. • She smiled at him and stood up a little straighter, letting him take her hands, and then shifted so she was standing closer. "Yessir. I promise to try to remember." She winked and shrugged a little - that was the most that she could promise, to try at least. At his affectionate tending to of her chilly fingers, she warmed easily and leaned her body gently against his as she followed his gaze out to the ocean. "What do you do during the day?" It was a pretty random question, but she was just so curious about this guy - all she knew about him was that he was determined to look out for her, and his name and age. • "Whatever I want." He replied in his usual short manner but then looked at the way she was leaning against him, trusting him to keep her warm and safe. "Umm...I..." What did he do during the day? "I sleep in pretty late. Eat. I dunno. What do most people do during the day?" He sounded a little aggravated but it was an almost humerous sound because it was directed at himself. He didn't do anything exciting or worthwhile during the day and that suddenly made him angry. Pursing his lips, his brow furrowed a little as he looked down to her. "What do you during the day?" • She couldn't help the small smile that lit her features at his almost awkward response. The aggravation in his voice was perplexing but she didn't feel like it was directed at her. Looking up to him, her head tipped slightly back, she was quiet for a moment longer before responding. "Well, I usually sleep in pretty late because I work late most nights... Then I spend most afternoons running errands - cleaning or shopping, then I go to work in the evenings. Somedays I just stay at home and read or watch movies, sometimes I go out for lunch or dinner... I usually go to the gym a few days a week. That's about it. Pretty average." • "Sounds nice." He stated honestly, routine was something he craved but could never quite get ahold on no matter how hard he tried to train his body and activities. It just didn't work for him so well. A yawn escaped his lips as he shifted his arms around her waist, drawing her to rest against his chest, so her back was resting on him. So he was taking liberties he didn't really have a right too but he wanted to hold her and he was a man who was used to getting what he wanted. • "It's alright." For now at least - she definitely hoped for something more in her life, but she was still pretty young and being stuck in limbo wasn't really too bad right now. She didn't mind when he looped his arms around her, instead just shifted as he urged her so she was standing in front of him, leaning back against his chest. She was a touchy-feely, physical sort of girl, and the fact that she hardly knew him didn't really bother her. He wasn't exactly a typical sort of guy. Her hands rested over his for a moment, then slid up his arms a bit before slipping back into the pockets of her jacket. "Do you work?" He shrugged a little as he let out a soft breath and gazed out over the ocean for a long moment before he dropped his chin down to rest on her shoulder and pressed a warm kiss to the side of her neck. "Are you warm enough?" He questioned gently, showing that he did have a caring side to him as he ran his hand idely over the curve of her stomache and just below the swell of her chest. He really wasn't the typical sort of guy and she didn't appear to be the typical girl to him which was probably what intrigued him the most and had him stalking her as he would a predator or something. • "That's alright." It didn't really matter to her either way whether or not he worked - because she figured whichever it was, he got by somehow. It seemed like his bike was nice enough that he was doing okay - unless he had spent all of his money on the bike and was now living in a cardboard box... She doubted that though. He seemed to have the sort of laid-back comfortable quality that only people who didn't worry about money had. At his lips on her neck, her fingers returned to curl around his forearm, a quiet breath slipping from her gently parted lips. She smiled a little a moment later, and squeezed his arm tightly, and then nodded a touch. "Yeah, it's nice out here. You?" He stated, smiling a little as he hugged her close to him and smiled a little before shifting to sit down, never letting go of her, instead easily swooping her off her feet and keeping her in his arms until he was sitting down and she was sitting in his lap. He smiled warmly, pressing another kiss to her shoulder since she had responded so well before when he had kissed her neck. "Tell me more about you. More exciting than me." • She didn't seem to get out much these days - work kept her busy most nights - and she hadn't had much luck meeting new people, so she was loving this - the contact, the conversation, everything. Once they were settled down sitting, she shifted so she was comfortable sideways in his lap, and slipped one arm around his neck - her fingers twisting into his hair at the back of his head. "I don't know about that... There's not much to tell. I've been here a few months... I think I want to go back to school, but I'm not in too much of a rush.." Her free fingers spread flat over his chest, shamelessly traveling over the definition of his muscles there. If he could take liberties, so could she, she figured. • "Still young." He stated honestly, she really was still young and had the whole expanse of time stretching out in front of her - she should take her time and enjoy her life. His eyes dropped down, watching her fingers as they explored his chest, his gaze growing a touch dark as her touch grew bolder. "I think you are exciting..." He stated, and he had no idea how much that meant. To say the least, he had been in some very exciting situations and to say that this little girl who barely took up his lap was exciting to him...well, it was saying a lot, that's all. • "But getting older... But yeah, that's what I tell myself. I'm still young." She agreed with a slight nod, her head ducked a little so she didn't have to speak too loudly to him. At his comment, her head cocked and a smile touched her lips. That was a refreshing thing to hear from someone - that they found you exciting, especially because she was currently convinced that her life was kind of dull. "I think you're exciting too." It was the truth but she was so intrigued by him - he had a story that he was reluctant to share, but she was curious to hear it one day. • He smirked lightly, tipping his head to the side to gaze at her a touch, just her profile for a second before he smiled a little, yawning softly in a comfortable manner. He did have quite the story that he could share but it was hard enough to even get him to talk about what he ate for lunch, much less how he had spent the last ten years of his life. His hand lifted to run over her hair slowly, enjoying the soft thickness there with a smile. "You have nice hair." • She kind of got that already - it was hard for him to say much about anything, she figured it would take some time before he might even be will to share much else about himself. Somehow though, it didn't bother her - she didn't mind not knowing and was drawn by the idea that one day she might get to know. "Well thanks..." She smiled at that, and leaned sideways against his chest, her forehead touching his chin before she pressed her lips to his jaw and then sat up a little again. • He ran on his own schedule, sometimes he would want to be up during the day and sometimes he wouldn't, just kind of depended on how he was feeling that day. At the moment, he was content to be a night owl, since he was taking his self appointed role as her guardian pretty seriously. He knew he wasn't much as far as company went, he wasn't big into words and he kinda wondered if she was bored but then shrugged it off. He trusted that if she was bored, she would, leaving simple as that. • It was a little chilly that night, but she was warm enough with her jacket and sitting in his lap all nestled close to his warmth. So, she was perfectly content sitting there until he stood, and took his help to get up as well. Smiling a touch, she took the helmet from him and pushed her hair back from her face with one hand. "You ready to go?" A hand ran down his arm lightly and then reached out to tug at the edge of his jacket at about his chest - just absently straightening it. She liked to talk most of the time, but she didn't mind sitting in comfortable silence - which it was with him, somehow not awkward like one might have thought it would be. • "Grtting colder." He stated, his hand brushing over her nose briefly as if proving his point since the tip was cold. He leaned down, brushing his lips across her high brow bone before he turned and slid onto the back, letting her get on behind him as he steadied the motorcycle beneath him. Once she was settled, he took off, careful to go a little bit slower this time since it was colder her out. Before long, he was pulling up to her apartment and there he sat, debating if it would be to big of a hint to turn off his bike -- a sign letting her know he was willing to stay. • She sniffled a little as if to help him prove his point, and smiled at his light kiss, then tugged the helmet on before climbing on behind him. She was definitely enjoying this new motorcycle riding experience - it was exciting and liberating and just a little bit scary. Her arms tight around his waist, she just rested her head sideways against his back and watched the buildings go by until they arrived at hers. She sat behind him for a brief moment before climbing off, and pulling off the helmet, a hand resting on his shoulder. She gestured up the building with her head - with the bike on and him still wearing his helmet, she wasn't sure that he could hear her but figured he didn't really need to to know what she was saying. • He was no fool and didn't need to be asked twice. The motorcycle was shut off and locked up and then he reached over, taking the helmet off of her and then smoothing his hand over her hair with a small smile before he set it on the bike and then slipped his hand down to rest on her lower back and guide her up to the apartments entrance. His eyes scanned the area, an old habit that had was ingrained in him. He immediatly noted the easiest entry and exit points and a few other things before he followed her in, checking out the locks and such on the doors as they walked...
