Subject: He was so self-absorbed and involved in his own mind that he noticed nothing around him - except when he finished his scotch and was in need of a refill. Pushing away the glass, he sat up a little and raised his eyes to get the 'tender's attention - then just gestured at his empty, and had a fresh one in front of him moments later. Sometime during his brief awakening, while he was waiting for his drink, his dark gaze fell on her and didn't stray for sometime. He was anything but shy and thought nothing of looking for a long moment. Finally, he just nodded a fraction - almost approvingly - but then turned his stare back to the dark bar before him, hands content with their once again refilled drink.

Sometimes I think I'm happy here, sometimes
Yet I still pretend
I can't remember how this got started
But I can tell you exactly how it will end

  • She let out a low breath at his nod, feeling something jump inside her chest. A small smirk caressed her features - maybe this wouldn't be such a slow night after all - as her eyes moved to the glass in front of her, she took a sip before she shifted off the stool, heading over to where the intriguing new guy was. Setting down her drink next to him, she leaned against the bar, a smirk playing over her lips as her green eyes focused on him. "Take it your not a 50 cent fan?" She smiled a touch, this was the only bar that played rock every night of the week, one of the reason she usually came out here. She was a big fan of classic rock, the hip hop and rap wasn't her scene, obviously from her appearance. (NT) -- Lysia, Sun, Jun 05 2005, 9:07pm PDT
