Subject: He didn't believe in pity, and so offered none - only a slight nod of agreement and understanding. "Yeah, me neither." He had friends, he supposed, but felt few true connections and wasn't really interested in much more. The truth was, he never really felt completely understood by anyone, and that made it hard for him to make any sort of effort to associate too often with others. He just didn't see much of a point. Raising his cool glass to his lips once more, he set the glass back down and then looked over to her once more. He didn't know why he was so drawn to her, but he just was, and that bothered him for so many different reasons.

She questioned curiously, she hardly believed that he didn't come here for the purpose of finding a girl to go home with. She scanned the crowd, absently picking out potentials for him with a slightly bitter twinge in her mind and chest. Her hand that wasn't supporting her shifted to brush back the stray hair again, the curls could be a little unruley at times, thick black spirals moving in her eyes and across her delicate jaw.
