If he couldn't identify with other people, every once in a while he just needed to be surrounded by them in a situation that had nothing to do with his job. So it may not make sense to her, but he wasn't too sure how to explain it to make sense. His eyes - deep in their blue tone, but the grey flecks added a cool, dark edge - lingered over her even as her gaze drifted, as if he was trying desperately to figure out why he wanted so much right now for this girl not to walk away.
