AT THE DAMASCUS

• She was completely focused, completely on task as she strode purposefully into the club. She felt the part of the person she was playing tonight - if this didn't come through properly, this was the situation she'd find herself in, bringing resumes into any place that looked to be hiring. She wore a pair of low slung, black flare legged pants and a simple halter - not overly dressy, but then she didn't need to be - her body spoke for itself without the aid of nice clothes. Mirrors then returned to her eyes, shrewed gaze attempted to read her, yet the vibe she gave off was strange, and unclear. • The resume was positively littered with references to clubs round and about - of course, if he called them up, there would be someone to say a good word about her - there were one too many under-the-table dealers that owed the department a favor here and there. "Uhh, I worked at Sparx last - the customers were real pushy and I was bussing tables, so I left.. before that, I mixed drinks at Illusions, that's a fairly new place as well.." • Of course she followed him, and turned a few heads while she was at it - they weren't the drooling, pawing men she was used to at the other clubs she did undercover at, but the eyes were the same. She offered a polite smile as she caught sight of the table where Ariel sat. "I really appreciate this. Tuition isn't cheap, and being out of work isn't fun." • $The other woman's eyes boared into her like lazers, Ariel certainly wasn't pleased to see her again, or that she and Adrien were headed to a table for only the two of them. He didn't even notice, Ariel was so far from his list of important things that he never paid any attention to her. He stopped at the table for the two of them and pulled the chair out for her to sit in. He was so used to perfect strangers being on edge around him that he had come to expect it from everyone, especially those who knew him,$"How do you fare around other people? • $He still found it very odd that she had first shown up at his house, and she was here asking for a job, and apparantly not having known the connection before hand. he had his suspicions abut her, and util he knew for sure he wanted her in a place he could watch her. His decision made he spoke quickly.$` "You're hired.
