1. Do you enjoy playing at JBTH? Why or why not?
I do enjoy playing playing at JBTH. I enjoy it because I have so many memories caught up within the boundries of this game. I still enjoy playing it... it's just i tend to have a lack of time which keeps me away a lot of the time..
2. What first caught your eye about JBTH? What made you want to play? wow.. this will be going back a looooooooong way. I remember coming here from an advertisement at Clip Clop. I thought it was a cool site because it had music. (This is waaay back in the day...) Neways, there was this whole "catastrophe" thing going on. The owner, Lacey, had set it up so that one of the territories was hit by an earthquake. This led to a whole lot of innovative role playing, and I was so impressed that I joined the game.
3. Has that attraction dimmed? Has JBTH lost the spark that first got you interested? Yah, I would have to say that the attraction has dimmed... simply because JBTH reached it's peak. We could see it happening long ago. The game grew and grew, and grew and grew.. then with the loss of ITW and all other such things it exploded.. and now it's sort of plateauing.. it's not going down nemore. but hey, I'm sure that it will start to rise again. Why wouldn't it? it's got a great foundation. But if JBTH is nething like the Roman Empire, then i think we've hit the dark ages.
4. Why do you think JBTH has lost so many members? Is there a way to fix this problem, in your opinion? To tell you the truth, i don't know why so many members are gone. I think it just got so large, and the web that was so tightly knit got ripped apart. The game got too thinly spread out, like butter over too much bread, as Bilbo Baggins would say. Also, I think the trouble over the owners was a big thing -- so we could technically attribute this all to me.. god dammit... Is there a way to fix this? I think that we're on the right track. Slowly but surely, we'll get there.
5. What boards do you visit on a regular basis? What boards don't you use at all? I visit MMB and OOC board a lot. I barely use any of the member boards, and don't visit the herd boards because I have no place there.. I've created a few more chars tho, so Hopefully things will change..
6. What is, in your opinon, the worst thing about JBTH? The fighting/bitchiness/depression that's flying around. I think that killed JBTH too.. although we did successfully pull through a "let's through our chars off cliffs" faze, I think that it all added up in the end.
7. What is the best thing about JBTH? The openness, compassion and ingenuity of everyone here. It's incredible, it's wonderful, it's such an experience that is unimaginable anywhere else.
8. Do you think everyone has a part in reviving JBTH? Should JBTH even be revived? Everyone does have and needs to take a part in reviving JBTH. It should be revived. But maybe it won't. Things like that happen. But eventually, it'll start off again, small maybe, but it will grow again. Or maybe the Sim age is dying.. who knows..
9. Please say one nice thing about JBTH. Do I have your permission to quote you on that? [I'd like to use real opinions whilst advertising. I think they make JBTH seem more real.] Course you have my permission. JBTH is real, it's raw and it's fascinating. It's a way to express yourself in a complete manner, without worrying about real life circumstances. You can be whatever you want to be, and use your imagination to its fullest extent.
10. Any other comments, suggestions, anything you want to say? Not really.. i hope you've found what I have to say mildly interesting. I know I'm not the most popular person around here... but then again, I never have been.. although I do love this game with all my heart. Well, this questionnaire was fun... I hope it's useful to u.
