>I have seen racial issues from both sides of the fence,so to speak, I remember when I was very young and lived in Florida the Seminole people were treated with utter disrespect. More recently I have had an experience with a teacher at my daughters school, she asked all the children in the class, who has native american ancestors? Many of the children raised a hand. This teacher, who claims to be native american herself, then asked to see all of the children's cards. She told them if they did not have a card as she does they are not in any way shape or form native american and should not claim to be no matter what their parents have told them. I was offended and my daughters feelings along with many of the other children were hurt. My daughter told the teacher out of anger that her mom looked more native american than she does card or no card. Needless to say she suffered the rest of the year for this statement. My question is how often is this type of reverse racism occurring?
