Subject: discovering family

I am trying to locate my native american hertiage.I was told by aunt that my dads great grandfather was full cherokee his name Bob Dodson.And someone else in the family was full cherokee her name was Quillia (the spelling may be wrong) her last name was Tucker.And we are from the eastern North Carolina area. I would love to learn of my family...to learn of our history and I want to learn ...It is hard to explain but I feel misplaced,that I should of lived in a differet time.Even as a small child I have felt this.
