Your absolutly right, words can hurt worse than any pain that can be caused by sticks and stones. I have said many times that it is time for all humans no mater what color to come together. But the question is can we? Are we willing to stop judging people. Words hurt from both sides of the tracks. I have been called bad names by both the whites and the natives. I am a mix of both worlds. My heart is Anishinabe, I have dark skin and blue eyes. I was raised in an all white area, but thank the Creator, I had a grandmother who would not let me forget who I was. But when I practice what I was taught, I am told I am not indian and to stop what I believe. The whites think I am a pagon devil worshiper. I get a kick out of people telling me I tan easy. I come from a very mixed family. I have an Italian name, but I'm not Italian (thats how I get away with the dark skin.) My Italian step father gave me the name. I'm Ojibwa, Sweed, Dutch, German

There should be a place where people can go if they just want to be good. I feel for you and your family.
