Subject: Re: KIDDIE EMCEES Author: tim [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 18:38:55 03/23/02 Sat In reply to: JumpinJack AJ 's message, "KIDDIE EMCEES" on 22:48:31 03/20/02 Wed one of the greatest young rappers were souls of mischief..who released their first album when they were 18..but you can hear their demos that they got signed to jive off were recorded when they were 16..they had been rapping since they were about 8..and they were the most talented rhymers to come out at just 18..and even came with tracks like "tell me who profits" which is quite extraodinary for such a young age..what souls of mischief were are great rappers..with just unbelievable skill..and i think 2 this day..not many could touch them on the mic..they just have pure rhyming ability..as for other young rappers..like kris kross etc..the problem is other people are writing all their rhymes..and i find most of the subject matter "rapping abt hoes etc" when their like 11 or 12 is just ridiculous..as for A+ he annoys me cause he took one of the souls of mischief members a-plus' names...haha..i also find that young rappers say in that 18-20 age bracket come out with a fantastic album 1st up that is fun...they just havin fun rippin it(pharcyde another example) but when they get older their a lot more serious and its not the same..so if you into just fun rap..jus rippin it on the mic..2 albums to get would be souls of mischief - 93 til infinity and the pharcyde - bizarre ride to the pharcyde..disclaimer here though..explicit lyrics ..and some mild hoes etc rhyming..BUT they dont just rap abt killing people all the time which is dope..and these albums are definitely go against that gangsta rap of the time period..if u wanna hear this really cool song of souls of mischief when they were just 16 in 1991..check the link http://www.hieroglyphics.com/sounds/souls_of_mischief/realaudio/cabfare.ram [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ]
