I thought it was great. It was low on the usual corny jokes and high on the mystery and intrigue. I have to admit I was skeptical when I first read about the details of season 3 months ago. "This sounds too much like Pokemon" I thought, but today's episode proved me wrong. I don't know if it's the best season yet, but it definately has the best first episode yet. Medabots was pretty cool too. It was also better than I thought it would be. It might become quite popular. Pokemon-style competion coupled with customizable robots should easily appeal to kids.
