Hello, and blessings to you! I think by being drawn to discover, means that the time of discovery is near at hand. But I do have a question for you. IS it what you'd be drawn to or could it be what is drawn to you?
I think sometimes a familiar is drawn to you when the time is right. Other times, it is you thats drawn to it.
For instance, there was this black cat w/wonderful gold eyes that needed a home, and came to my house. This cat had a feeling about it I couldnt first pin down. It followed me arround, watched me...and such. It's not the average kind of thing, hard to describe here. She Would be watching out for me when I slept or meditated as if she's "on guard". She was bigger than the average house cat, but for some reason I really didnt think anything of it. She alerted me one night of someone doing some harmful "work" in my home....I dealt with it by doing my own little thing, wich she (cat) was there for, and asked her to assist me. IN short, she did. And that's when things happened. Like Big black cats appeared in the room, and some birds....lol. The person that was basically playing with fire seen these appear out of nowhere, it seemed. It lasted for awhile...(the animals were called for protection--not to harm). It was THIS night, I knew that this cat was my familiar....and that the big black cats (Panthers?) were acting as guardians. After slightly over a year, this cat moved on to a *new* home of her choosing.
Years later, While walking home from the store...I felt there was trouble comming my way, a couple people looking for a victem. I sent my son on ahead home, since he could move faster than me that night. Then I quickly cast a cirlce, and asked for these cat's protection. Right on cue, they appeared and escorted me to my door only to *Poof* away into the night after I crossed the threashold. The two people who wished me harm were confused to say the least...for what they seen was two cats in the place where i was! How could that be in a small city? lol My son, who looked back at me after he got to the house seen both me and the cats, and knew everything would be fine. The next day, however...The black cat mentioned above stopped by briefly, then went on to her *new* home. With these things and a few others, This was one of mine.
I have a quick little sign that I draw to represend self on occasion. It's a combination of several signs that I designed into one I can draw fast without lifting the pen/pencil. It feels right. The parts, of themselves are not
Completly attached to me, but the combination is...strange as that may sound. Perhaps a bit of play will help you to come up with "the" one?
Perhaps, what you seek has some qualites of each, and can only be competly attached...when thoes qualites are combined into one.? Just guessing here.
