Merry meet to you!

So how did you find your way to our little corner of the internet (always like to ask)? Are you a "wiccan witch", or of some other path? Here, at this site, we follow a harm none path and welcome all others who embrace this way of living no matter their theology or diversity. So pardon my personal opinion here, but I don't happen to believe in demons. I do however, believe in spirits (both those who have once been alive as humans here on earth and those who have not) and I believe that spirits like all of us, are a mix, like any other group, with both good-natured and evil-intent and all mixes in-between! So if you want to call the spirits who are of an ill-mind-set or purpose "demons" I guess it is all a matter of semantics and no big deal either way. But as for the whole "Charmed-as reality TV" thinking....well, let's just say it is interesting entertainment and brings in good TV ratings but has about as much connection with reality as the Disney "Bibbitty-bobbetty-boo". I am sure that on those last 2 points you probably agree with me.

I sooooo empathize with your wanting to help someone who is asking for your help (I feel it 24-7 with my teenagers and adult kids) but I will say I agree with Winterwolf on this one, and that given the info you have shared that you will not being doing this person any favors by interfering/intervening on her behalf. Just the opposite, it sounds like she is looking for a pacifier and an easy way out so as not to face her issues and problems (as evidenced by her not sticking it out with therapy....if the one counselor wasn't working, then she should find another!) The bottom line is that she sounds to have made a mess of things and needs to straighten a lot out for herself, and figure a lot out for herself. I have a hunch that if you (out of the best of intentions and desire to aide her) do try to help in any way, that sooner or later she will be placing blame at your feet for something or other if not all of her woes! Unfortunately, this doesn't sound like a good situation to get yourself tangled up in. If it were me I would tell her to believe in her own abilities to connect with diety and to turn her life around. As for evil spirits....if she believes they are more powerful or influencial than she herself, then she is giving them (or just plain giving negativity) her power. If, instead she reclaims her own positive energy and power then she can take back her life and start rebuilding and healing. Negative energy and Negative spirits are attracted to negative thinking and despondency. She has the power to change everything in her life. If you try to step in and do it for her she will never believe in herself. Sort of like like doing too much for our kids and them never learning their own abilities or self-confidence.

Oh, by the way, this is a "G-rated" site so in the future (even with quotes) you will need to refrain from the 4-letter words and such. I won't delete your post, this time, as I am sure you were unaware...and I do look forward to seeing more of you here at Wiccan Circle of Friends. So what part of the world are you in? I am in Northeast, Pa, in the USA, but we have people here from all over. You sound like a very caring person and I am sure you will find yourself in a very supportive and warm environment here in our midst!

Brightest Blessings, and a warm welcome!
Dreemdanser
