finally got the wireless internet connection configured here at the apartment! oh happy day. so now i'm online and can post/check a lot more often.

I am adjusting to my life at my new school. Sometimes things seem very strange and I become really homesick (especially for my mom, with whom I'm very close), but I try to keep remembering that this is an awesome opportunity for me to grow and become ME.

I haven't had a lot of time lately to study Wicca since I'm studying so much else! I feel like information is slipping away from me and I'm not learning fast enough, but I'm doing what I can. When I get a few spare moments, I mostly want to decompress, so it's hard to pick up a book of my choice and read without drifting away! But I am trying to stay connected to what I have already learned.

Really cool thing though - there is an incense/oil/candle shop about 2 blocks from my apartment! In addition to the incense, etc. they sell a lot of Wiccan supplies like altars, etc, as well as a lot of Wiccan themed items! It was really refreshing! I bought a pentacle windchime that I hung over the door in my bedroom that leads into the stairwell to the rest of the building. (Which I keep triple locked all the time!) It's beautiful and also feels protective. The owner of the shop must've sensed some "witchy-ness" in me because he gave me this adorable little half-moon that hangs on a door that reads "blessed be." he said to me "This was passed down to me, and now I'm passing it down to you" and slid it into the bag with the rest of my purchases. It was so so cool. I felt like "Yeah, I really AM supposed to be here."

So of course despite some ups and downs (such as with my dad, a few posts ago) I have a really positive feeling. I have two awesome housemates in an absolutely gorgeous apartment in an adorable little town.

I feel preeeettty good.
