At the first inkling of congestion, head or chest, I take a sugar cube, break it up into small pieces and put a single drop of eucalyptus essential oil on it and swallow it with water like a pill. I do this three times a day. YES, it does taste bad but only for a few minutes, just drink alot of water to wash the taste from your mouth. Eucalyptus oil is antiseptic and it will also break up any congestion from the inside out. Taking it internally gets the active agent into you much quicker than trying to take it by steam/vapor. I don't advise for it to be taken more than the one drop three times a day. If you start this treatment right at the onset you can usually stave it off. Works for me anyway.
BTW...I tried to find Dreemy's broth remedy but haven't been able to find it in my documents :(
