 There are all sorts of options for free chat rooms similar to the ones we have used in the past that are for typing in text communication only. If it is true that paltalk is no longer free ( I have yet to look inot it further), then I have not found any other real-time voice chat options other than msn IM. I am not sure how many people can chat at once on msn IM but I know a few can. I would think that for the time being that that is our best option for a voice-chat format. Is there anyone who does not have msn instant messenger? One thing I can tell you all is that paltalk does pull in a lot of nasty stuff into your computer making it vulnerable to all sorts of spyware, viruses, firewall breaches, etc. When we have done cleanups, there are certain sources that have brought in the most nasty stuff and caused the most problems, and paltalk is one of them. I am reluctant to redownload paltalk for that reason. We do have pretty good protection on the computer, but I just don't know enough to be sure it's worth it.

My suggestion for the time being is that we use msn instant messenger. It would be unusual for us to have so many people that we couldn't all be accomodated in msn IM. Does anyone know the capacity? If you like this idea, then you can make your IM name available to others here by adding them to your IM buddy list. If anyone doesn't have mine, I use dreemdanser@hotmail.com

The only other thing we need to do is establish a new chat schedule. What is good for all of your for a first time trial run? Unfortuantely, I am not able to stay up late (EST)anymore. It would have to be something early evening for me to join in. Wednesdays might work for me. But please don't eliminate other possibilities if they are best for the majority.
