Thanks so much for everyone's suggestions.
Crystal, I did the toilet spell last night! I wrote on a tissue what I was having anxiety about and concentrated very hard on the issue. Then I scampered off to the bathroom to flush it away. Like Dreemy was mentioning, it wasn't a "quick fix" for the anxiety but it did help me to center myself and to think more logically about what I was worrying about. I also did some deep breathing (something that always helps) and clutched my trusty ol' "happy stone." Also, I took some pure lavender oil (not the kind that I wear on my skin, this stuff is more potent) and soaked some tissue with it and put it inside each of my pillowcases. It also seemed to help me relax a bit!

Now onto the apartment stuff...Dreemy, all of your suggestions sound EXCELLENT and I am very interested in learning how to carry them out. Possibly after I have my finals in two weeks - up until then I'll be so busy cramming and paper-writing and flashcard-making and whatnot that I won't be able to fit anything new into my brain! But after all of that, I will have lots of time and lots of room to take it all in. It is very important to me to have as peaceful and positive a space as possible for me to live in, especially in the beginning when I'm adjusting and out of my normal "comfort zone."

Yesterday I got to see the outside of the apartment up close and personal - couldn't go in though because the boys who live there now don't know they're being kicked out in June - couldn't very well go in there and say "I'm the girl who's going to be living here in the fall!" Plus, it didn't look like anyone was around. So, I walked around, took some mental inventory, and even peeked in the window. It does look like they trashed the place. It's a shame because the apartment is absolutely adorable. There's even a front porch (it's a ground-floor apt.) which I can see myself drinking many cups of tea on! SOOOO, there's a lot of work to be done in getting in ready to be live-able. I am very interested in learning how that can be done.

Thanks muchly,
Scarlet

P.S. Dreemy, I'm also interested in the car protection charm. I'd like to hear anyone else's as well!
