I finaly have come up for air and definitely missed checking in with and communicating with all of you. I would love to hear how everyone's Summer Solstice was, if you wish to share.
Mine was (and still is)very focused on balance. I know that this is traditionally more of the focus at the equinoxes, but it has been front and center in my life of late. Those who have know me for a while, know I think this is a continually important thing to keep and endeavor to maintain, as it is always in flux. Well, I have been (especially since the Spring Equinox) trying to work on some areas that were out of balance in my life. I made quite a few various strides to recify this and it is an ever changing and constant effort. Of course, anything you add to your life will require some subtraction somewhere else. it is inevitable. So as the Solstice arrived, I found myself feeling very much like the ancients pushing the sun symbols up a hill, and feeling the teetering and suspended motion sensation at the peak, before the decline on the other side. I was out of balance from my attempts to add some things to my life that were lacking, but it got a bit too much too fast so I was having my hands full bring the pendulum back to center!!!
I relearned some old lessons and a few new ones. Some things just cycle around, while others are a cycle we haven't passed through before. I think mostly it was getting in synch with this 'season' of my life. You know how you have to get into the whole summer thing each year and the rythym of it? Like, the lawn being cut everyweek instead of shoveling snow...and the plants being watered and the windows open and the animals shedding....all the seaonal changes. Well that is how I am looking at the changes and cycles in my life. Some of it is like, "oh yeah, I remember that type of situation and how to deal with it" and other things are like,"woah, that's a new one!"
So I am on the declining side of the hill like the sun, and slowing down and adjusting to the new growth while weeding out the stuff that has to go.
You all are the part of the good stuff that always has to stay and have room made for and maintained.
love you all!
Dreemy
