About the rhyming thing....it is definitely not essential to do your spell's words of power in rhyme. Intent, focus and visualization and the specific words you use (always be very specific and try to see any way that the words could have a double meaning) are what is important. But the wiccan reed does say, 'let your words be spake in rhyme" and it is traditional to do so. Beyond that, it helps memorization to have anything in rhyme. Just think about how you can remember little poems and Dr Suess books from childhood! It makes it stick in your head better. If you are chanting the words of power over and over they have a better flow and rhythm when in rhyme. So if you can get the hang of learning to write in rhyme (its a skill you can learn and develop just like anything else), then you will be adding a little zing to your spells. i used to just write the words of power without rhyming for the first few years I was doing spells. But now i have been writing the WOP in rhyme for many years. There are some tricks that can help. For example...end each phrase with a word that you can easilly rhyme with such as see, tree, me, be, or moon, soon, boon, tune, or day, say, way, pray, or night, sight, right, plight. You can also turn sentences or phrase around to get a word that is easy to rhyme with at the end of the phrase.
But most importantly consider the words and their various meanings very carefully and as your priority, more so than whether they rhyme or not. An example of what I mean by this is that a "bad spell" might use the words "all my bills and debts are now paid". Why is that an example of a bad spell?? Well what it means literally is probably not what you want....suddenly all sorts of bills you forgot about and debts that had gone by the wayside will start coming out of the woodwork such as people who loaned you money 10 years ago that you forgot about and bills that might not have been due yet are all due at once!!! What the spell writer probably wanted was to be on top of all their bills and debts and have enough money to pay them when they were due. So as you can see you have to think about how the words could be taken on their face value, and literally. And also it is critial to bind every spell, "for only the good and harming none" otherwise that same spell could have the money coming in from someone's death or from an injury and subsequent settlement....defintiely not what the spell writer would want!
As always we will be glad to have you run by any WOP or spells with us before you try them out and give you feedback.
hugs,
Dreemy
