Subject: I got my TIckets (sniff, sniff.....)

Well, I got my tickets, and Mari Gottwald's. I should be excited (and I am) but I'm also bummed out, because, STANDING at Ticketmaster, with the Ticketmaster lady getting on the computer at 1000, when the tickets went on sale, the best we could get is Row 14 at the '5 o'clock position' (with the stage being 12!). NO ground seats available, AT all. I was so crushed. So, are super-good tickets like that all presales, or what? Is there no hope?? Are Mari and I crazy to think there's some way we might still get to meet Burton?? Well, at least I know to bring binoculars.... I'll need consolation tonight, fan club friends! - navygirl

And no, I didn't post that twice for double-sympathy! The whole 'net is working weird here today....

Heidi,
I really DO feel for you. This has also happened to me at concerts. I guess the best seats are give-aways. The sad part is, VPs of beverage Corps give the tickets to their sisters for the latters kids to use, who show up late, leave early and don't know even know who is on stage (can you tell I know a recipeint of such ticket). It really hurts that those of us who really want them enough to get out of bed, stand in line and pay the big bucks, can't get any closer.
If its any consolation, I would guess this is predicted to be a "good show" (no surprise to any of us, huh?) based on the fact that I just bought concert tickets (for someone who shall remain nameless) after they had been on sale 3 hours, and I got 7th row at 5:00, on the floor.

Well, I can't believe it, but I've got 2 really good tickets for the Toronto show! Can't wait!

>Ticketmaster is a disgusting monopoly, they tried to break it up a few years back, I think Pearl Jam had some part in that, they failed. I got on the phone for CSNY in Minneapolis right away and got tickets 20 minutes later, I thought the 22nd row would be ok for 70$. It turned out they were selling tickets for a week to high payers 200+ for the right to buy early. I was in the last row on the floor, although it was a great show I am still pissed at the cost for lame seats. Well, I got my tickets, and Mari Gottwald's. I should
