Subject: Is their a shrink around

Hello Mr C. and Fans
Is there anybody out there who can tell me why a fairly successful 41 year old(and, I might add, completely heterosexual) man swoons like a teenaged girl at the thought of actually conversing with my hero of the last 25 years. Please do not get me wrong, I say this with all the respect in the world for Burton and the other fans. I love the music, and I love the book excerpts. I thoroughly enjoy everyone's commentary, but that is just the point; I am quite intrigued with my almost irrational reverence for this man. I've never had the pleasure of meeting him in person or even see him perform (yet). (I did get tickets for the shows in Calgary and Edmonton, I'm going to plan the family vacation around it this year). Please Flame away if you think this worthy, but I really would like some one to tell me what drives this emotion in me. It is a little disconcerting. I also have a certain appreciation for Shania Twain on a much smaller level, but it is not her music. Must be something else going on with that. Maybe it is some Canadian thing I got going.

Best Regards to all of you

It's your brush with fame. But hell, this is the internet. Al Kooper and Rod Argent have their own email addresses on public display...but don't expect to have a casual one-on-one afternoon chat with either of them about life, cause it ain't happening! My only REAL "claim to fame" is being in McCleans rehab hosipital in Belmont MA. while Rick James was there. I still have his autograph. But the internet has indeed made it alot easier to communicate with celebs. I love this stuff!! (yes, I'm very shallow)

Let's see....probably the same thing that drives it in many of us? No harm there, friend! We're still law-abiding job-holding family-loving adults. Maybe you like me are indulging something you 'couldn't', etc., when you were 15 years old. A passion for the music, an admiration for the artist. It can only make you a more spiritual person, don'tcha think? :)

That was a beautiful reply. I agree with you and I thank you.

As long as you didn't post an affirmative answer to the sheet music dropping question from last week, I don't think you have to worry.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>from Sam... Deb or whomever please trace this email address and get me a picture of the person so i can distribute it too security at the shows. LMAO j/k

At this point i have seen over 350 shows... it never gets tiring hearing Burton hit those notes every single night.
When he holds that note in UNDUN .. I ! run outta breath.

from the snail mail i get for Burton , and some he shares with me there are certain songs that really pull on heart strings and mean alot to many people. its truly amazing how people react to music and lyrics. i think it has to do with Burton always talks about regarding videos... when you hear a song , you paint a picture in your mind of what the song means to you and most times cause you to include your own life experiences to intermingle with the songs theme. Then they invented Video and in most cases ruined the feeling you have for the song. ( ) not that i haven't watched a few ummmm female rock videos...lol).. but by far enjoy the artists live concert footage or VH 1 storyteller formats best. >>.Now back to that security issue...LOL......gettin revved myself...Sam

--Good one Sam! Gotta watch out for those closet-gay stalkers, they're the worst kind. Reminds of when BC was on a local radio show and guys were calling in with "I love you man" - right out of a Bud Lite TV ad...Bob
