I thought of "Undun" for
THE ULTIMATE POP SONG (song...song...song...[echoes, get it?]),
but thought maybe it was of a too off-the-beaten track structure for that. Can you think of a song anywhere in the history of top 40 that's laid out like that one?
Yeah, the old "American Nurse, etc." was definitely a life-changing experience.

Don't know about top 40 but Moondance in many ways is similar and continues to receive extensive play on classic rock stations.
