I really like the template that I was built with, Doc. Lenin suggested it to me and I have absolutely no complaints AT ALL!!!
Here are my stats at level 20:
Strength - 130 (buffs to 145) (2,456 to raise)
Coordination - 130 (145) (2,456)
Endurance - 50 (65) (4.097)
Quickness - 100 (120) (13,276)
Focus - 100 (115) (2,456)
Self - 40 (40), (2,456)
Health - 85 (93) (8,763)
Stamina - 85 (100) (2,088)
Mana - 80 (80) (2,074)
Specialties:
Arc lore - 112 (117) (8,136)
Sword - 167 (197) (8,735)
Trained skills
Melee defense - 141 (152) (~6000)
Healing - 105 (115) (~1000)
Item magic - 78 (97) (~1900)
Jump - 152 (167) (699)
Life magic - 57 (76) (699)
Loyalty - 41 (41) (1,123)
Magic defense - 52 (74) (1,182)
Run - 111 (130) (338)
Staff - 97 (107) (310)
Now, my current plans are to get creature, then lockpick. I know that you are going with the high arc lore/no creature magic templates right now, so I am quite certain that my template will still work very well for you... you'll just have the opportunities to take things like the lockpick and missile defense, etc., if you decide to forego creature magic. Either way, it would work with this template.
100/10/100/30/70/10
Spec: Arc lore, sword (or, insert weapon of choice here)
Train: Life, Healing
At level 9: Train item
At level 20: Train mana conversion
Later: Creature, then lockpick
Now, if you specialized any other weapon, though, you'd save a LOT of experience points since spec'ing sword is so expensive. That being the case, you would be able to take mana conversion, if you wanted to, right away, which would kick up any magics, and any of the other agility-based skills right away. And, being that arc lore would be so high, you'd, of course, also eliminate the need for creature magic unless you wanted to have it for the purposes of powerleveling others.
The stats are similar to Pierce's, but I know which skills taken and when varies a bit.
