I miss Thunder, too.
Some of my earliest AC memories are from before I even played :) I would watch Tom playing the Jals, trying to drag him off of the computer, "you play too much!!!!" LOL. As it turns out, we ended up getting another computer and internet connection so that we wouldn't have to juggle who gets to play, when :P
Mrs. B the original was sworn to Solaran, and he did a lot to teach me how to play. I remember having to run through the portal loop in the starter towns again and again and again just so that I could say, "Yes, Sol, I DO know it now :)" And then, I remember having to be rescued because I decided to venture from the starter towns to one of the towns in the other loop.
The first time that I ever saw Shoushi - THAT was an awe-inspiring moment - was the day that I first went with Sol, Ari, and Brute to the Green Mire Grave. What a dying day that was! Hehehe. But, we all got the cuirass. That was also the day that Mrs. B turned level 12 and got lockpick :) Yay!!! *happy dance* I was inside the room with the mossie chief when that happened. Now, I could go anywhere! And the older players would want to take me because I was the only person that I knew who had lockpick!!!!
Very shortly afterwards, Sol, Brute and I were running up north for some reason. Just outside of Ziak, there's this fort with a lifestone and two portals (that I've never returned to but have always wanted to because it was sooooo cool). We all LSed there, then ran north. Along the way, waaaaay up north - the farthest north I had ever been - I got killed. Raven, GW of Vol, Sol, and Brute all went hunting for my body - and I had NO IDEA where I had died because this was before the corpse coords were listed in the death message - and Raven and Sol camped my body until it decomposed. I had to wait the entire time in that fort, too, because I was "over my head." I had died several times after that first death by the mites - that was the first time that I had ever seen them and I hated them instantly :)
Meeting Doc and Thunder is still one of my favorite memories, too. You two were standing on top of that building by the LS in Lin and you had just gotten your rav, Doc. I remember wanting to be a swordslinger just because of the really cool spell names on that sword, hehehe. Little did I know that every rav had those spells.
Larq was born in Nanto and her uncles immediately spoiled her. Those hunting days were soooo much fun :) Running around in the backwoods of Lin, Thunder watched my stam, you watched my health.
Remember that day when we all went to that bandy dungeon in Lin and, on the way out, we ran into those shadows? We all died several times. So, Kyla came. She died, too. So, you called Yurika - that was the first time I met Yuri, and, wouldn't ya know it? It was a body recovery! Hehehe, the first of many, many, many :)
Oh, yes, that night in the rav dungeon is also one of my faves. What a scary night that was, too. I'm thinking that was Mrs. B, right? Death, death, death, Thunder's death, death, death, called on Yuri. Hehehe
I have more I'll post later, but I have to walk the dogs now 'cause they're whimpering :)
