The lithe flicka calls to Futura, the one who would be her new guardian. She had hardly known her mother. Now she would live with Futura, for her father was too grief stricken to be able to properly care for her right now.

She moves in a foal's sloppy canter around the terrain. Would she have to stay here forever? The land may have once been beautiful but now it bore the weight of many horses, arriving and departing. T'was dull here.
