Subject: will 20 inch wheels fit ?????

possibly someone can help.... im in the market for some 20 inch wheels for my 2001 diamante ls. i have contacted several online wheel and tire companys and 8 out of 10 say they will fit with 245/35/20 tires. they all said the max width of the rim would be 8.5,,. i went to a tire size calculator and the new tires and wheels would only be one inch wider and half inch taller than stock 215/60/16. i just cant bring myself to buy them , have them shipped and they dont fit by sticking out the wheel wells or rubbing the inside fenders. by the looks of my front wheel wells there is the spring or strut right next to the tire and i dont see a half inch to inch of clearence that i would need. i read the post abought the 19's on a diamante owners car , and in a way, they still rub, anyone got 20's on there diamante ? please help, e mail me please at dondrulz@yahoo.com
