I say no way to spring clamps, I bought some but never put them on when I saw exactly what they would do to the spring and what effects they might have. If you compress a spring, the tension level is so great that it causes the spring to weakend between the points of contact, and will eventually cause the spring to collapse on either side. I used spring compressors that were a foot and a half long to install lowering springs on my car, and I can say the springs are tuff to replace and also sometimes compressed lopsided. These little pieces of crap that cost 7 bucks, should not be put on this car for looks, if so your pocket could be involved. If you want it low, buy some springs and do it right. I actually snapped the right rear spring to get it off. I cut it with a die grinder and watched it collapse and then snap, so i would think it would do the same under compressed load, and then driving on it too, geez, good luck people. I can get you springs cheaper, than what you could maybe have to go thru later.
