well, i know for sure its not the oil. b/c i just added about half a quart of oil a couple days before the noise started and the oil level is fine. i have a '92 es by the way.

BUT! something very strange happened today. i went to start it up and BAM...NOTHING HAPPENED...deader than a doornail. no lights, no beeping, no NOTHING. so i'm thinking the battery was draned rapidly somehow by something in the engine, or a wire came loose. and i know its not the starter, b/c that was just replaced last November. plus, the lights and stuff would work, just the engine wouldnt start. so, until i can get it out of my garage i'm SOL.

P.S. i am taking it in on Friday to the dealer for Valve guide Seals, Front Engine Seals, timing belt, camshaft Seals, and Crankshaft Seals. all for about $1400.
