I have a friend who flew from New York to Hong Kong to look after her father, who is critically ill in QM. One problem is she wants to find an apt (on HK Island; please see the message below) but doesn't know where to start.

I think the serviced apt she's having now is very expensive, but I have no experience of renting apt/ room in HK so I dunno how to help. I am sure many Bettermen can give great advices here. If you know about how to find one apt to rent, or having friends being an agent, pls let me know either by leaving a message here or emailing me... so as to help this friend.. Thank you!

Dear all

I am currently look for an rental apartment at HK for
temporarily stay (around 3 to 6 month, may extend my
stay). I am actually from Macau and not very familiar
with the Hk rental property market. I am going to stay
at the serviced apartment now but it is actually quite
costly $10,000-$12,000) a month. A one-bedroom or
studio is fine for me and my mother. My father is very
sick and that's why I have to stay at Hong Kong for a
short while.
