Final Fantasy as in a summary.
Final Fantasy 1-1990 style, had good graphics for its time, good gameplay.
Final Fantasy 2-Another step in the right direction, had a few good points.
Final Fantasy 3-An excellent, well-rounded Final Fantasy 3, ate up my weekends in the mid '90s.
Final Fantasy 4-Also can be found in FF Chronicles. I am re-playing this game again. Cecil is the bomb, and don't forget Kain! Golbez is still too cool. Remember an old ITW fiend, Zemus? He's here too.
Final Fantasy 5-First Job system made. I already took on X-Death, and he looks like he was pasted on the screen. But nonetheless, a good game.
Final Fantasy 6-Destruction. Kefka style. Kefka is still my favorite bad guy. He is the toughest boss I have ever faced (without the four Economizers!) but I got 4 Economizers and slapped the hell out of that guy. I still like Kefka as the ultimate bad guy.
Final Fantasy 7-The first game we all fell in love with (and we still love it also). The boss theme is the ultimate Final Fantasy music. Safer Sephiroth is one of the best paint jobs done in '97. And Cloud, I still love ya. (remember the old moniker Cloud 3:16?)
Final Fantasy 8-Hit the Final Fantasy machine in reverse. The Junction system was too confusing (after spending a weekend in my room with only Cheetos and 12 cans of Coke trying to figure out the Junction, Customize and Card Game systems). I liked the Eyes on Me, but it was the only game that hit the Final Fantasy engine in reverse.
Final Fantasy 9-Return to the roots of cartoonishness. Everyone looked unrealistic (except for Dagger and Eiko). Trance Kuja could tie with Kefka for my favorite bad guy. But Necron looks weird.
Final Fantasy 10-Not really the "Final" Fantasy (only installment to make it to a 10th game). Auron is now my favorite character. Why? Cloud, Zidane, Squall, Aeris, Barret, the FF7 Cid, and even Tifa had turned old-school. Why is Al Bhed incomprehensible? It's like a crossover of French and some dialect in Russian. Sin looks a lot like a shellfish. And Seymour needs to fix his hair.
Other FF Installments:
FF Tactics-One of the best FF customizing games (Ramza, Agrias, Mustadio, Beowulf, and Orlandu are my constants for every battle).
And anything else is like the gasoline for the FF machine. Let's sit back, relax, and wait for Final 11.
