Subject: Silent Hill scared the crap out of me!
In reply to: Achilles 's message, "Silent Hill..." on 22:41:56 05/24/02 Fri

I rented it and played it with the lights off. Between the fog, the freaky atmosphere, the monsters and that damn radio static, I was practically jumping out of my skin at every turn of the game.

By contrast, the only thing that ever made me jump in Resident Evil was that dog breaking through the glass.

One of my friends played through Silent Hill 2 and said it's an absolute let-down after you've finished Silent Hill 1. I haven't tried it yet, but I trust his opinion.
