I did stay in Tokyo. The company put me up in a nice western-style hotel over in Shinjuku.

Do you mean "Coffin" hotels? The ones where you rent out a small space that's about the size of a bed and has a small tv? The answer to that is no. I have no idea about their placement.

Haze, on the otherhand, stayed in a hotel that was about a step above a coffin. I'll try to get more info out of him later today. If memory serves me though, he said there was a) only one bathroom on the floor that didn't look like it had been cleaned in about three weeks (not to mention someone had explosive diahrea), b) a lot of crows that started making noise around 5 AM, and c) a policy that prevented him from staying inside the hotel or returning to his room for most of the day.

Oh and uh... if you have any choice other than the capsule, I'd take it. Everything I've heard about them, isn't exactly comforting.
