If the U.S. does not take retributive action, it will be seen as a sign of weakness, and invite more such attacks. If the U.S. does take such action, then it will make these blood-thirsty monsters even more angry, which will also provoke more attacks, but the alternative would be worse. The best thing that can be done is to exterminate as many of these scum as possible. Unfortunately, if it means going after a nation itself, such as Afghanistan, innocent lives will be lost, but I fear that there is no viable alternative if it comes to that.

When an animal becomes rabid, it has to be put down --- it's that simple. Sadly, I see little difference between that and the situation that faces us.
