He's a joke amoung those who are not right-wing Christian Fundamentalists. Really, the man is a buffoon. I come from the Southeastern U.S, originally, which is not as conservatively Christian as most outsiders believe, but still has a fair amount of churchs that are part of the Southern Baptist Convention (I think Falwell is part of it, but I can't recall at the moment), so we're used to hearing crap from his kind.

Personally, I can't see the Creator being the kind of Supreme Being Falwell seems to think he is. Of course, I'm not an adherant of any one specific religion, so bear that in mind. I do have a pretty good knowledge and understanding of Christianity though, and I agree with Oddfellow's assement here.

Just do what I do --- have a laugh at the man's expense, then go right back to ignoring him. :-)
