Subject: "Look! Video games are still evil!"

There are some sick people in the world and then there are some stupid ones. Foregoing the sick ones, I'll head right over to stupidville and present head case #1: Dr. Bob Arnot, NBC Correspondent (and I use the terms "Dr." and "Correspondent" losely).

You can read his laughable disertation on how computer flight sims are being used to train terrorists to do a more efficient jobs or you can follow along below as I pick two choice quotes for your enragement:

"Is the flight simulator alone enough? No. A terrorist still needs basic flight training. It appears that two of the terrorists may have trained in Venice, Fla., enrolling in a six-month course. Such a course provides for qualifying as a private pilot in a single engine airplane over the first three months."

If a flight sim wasn't enough, why continue on with the article? The bad Doctor just shot himself in the foot and needs medical attention.

"One of the important questions investigators will be asking is whether these terrorists picked the World Trade Center because it was on a flight simulator."

Yes, that's right Bob. In conclusion, the World Trade Center wasn't a set of densely populated structures, wasn't a major economic and commerical center, and wasn't the two tallest (and therefore most easily visible) buildings in New York City. It really was chosen because it was in a flight simulator program.

BTW, if the article gets pulled (as it rightly should), I have a copy on my harddrive which I'll put up on one of my sites.

- Aaron (wonders what this guy's PHD was in)
