Hi ark,

BTW, that's not ark as in THE Ark, is it? The wonderful ship that rebuilt the transfomers with irregard to politcal faction, is it? That's pretty cool if it is.

Anyway, the Chorno Cross soundtrack is simply amazing. If pressed, I'd have to say that Disk 3 is my favorite. It is one of the disks that floods me an overwhelming number of emotions every time I listen to. Mitsuda is an absolute genius (BTW check out (http://www.rpgamer.com for two tracks from the upcomming Xenosaga). I really can't describe how amazing this set is.

If you're just looking for good music, than I have a few other suggestios. But, if your really interested in the Mario RPG OST than don't let anyone disuade you. Your not crazy, everyone else is. I may have a friend here that has it on CD. If he does, I'll see what I can do about zipping the tracks and posting them somewhere. BTW just to make sure are you looking for Mario RPG or Paper Mario? Because I think it might be Mario RPG that he has.

Other Suggestion. FFX. Both VIII and IX were unimpressive to me. I have every FF OST available (With the exception of Mystic Quest). I felt like there were some good tracks on these two, but nothing like V, VI, or VII. Hell, the old NES ones are fun to listen to. I mean, come on you get both I and II on 1 Disk! But after being underwelmed by VII and IX I wasn't looking forward to X. But being the fanboy that I am (Thanks Aaron) I had to get the "Limited Edition." It's very good. I think Uematsu just had to much to do on the other disks. There are two other composers that are listed as composers, Junya Nakano and Masashi Hamauzu. I think by relaxing the number of tracks that Uematsu himself was responsible for and letting him produce as much as writing the best results were attained. A much better effort than either VIII or IX.

Cektic Moon. If you liked FF IV, you'll love Celtic Moon. I'm not a big "Irish Music" fan. But the araingements were truly beautiful. A little different, but should be in every game music collectors collection.

FF 1987-1994. This is the GrandDaddy of them all. An arrainged copy of some of Uematsu's best works dating back to the original all the way through FF VI. A good mix of everything. It's 7 years, isn't it time for a FF 1994-2001 yet?

FF VI Piano COllections. I admit it, I don't own this. If 87-94 is the quintesential jumping off point, than this is the end. Thsi is like the holy grail. I've never been able to find it, but it is supposed to be excellent.

OK. I've spent way to much time talking about FF music. besides in a mere couple of hours I get to go and play my GameCube. There's nothing like a couple hours meditation and relfection before busting some ghosts.
