Subject: Various things I have noticed about myself...

I've really no idea why I'm scribing down all my bad habits and traits, but I'm bored and I've still got an hour to go until course starts, and that's allowing for Quake time also. What more can one do when one's done all one can do? Try repeating THAT sentence 10 times quickly!

-----

THINGS I HAVE NOTICED ABOUT MYSELF!!

1. When typing to anyone informally, (and occasionally formally.) I tend to use/overuse the symbols :) and ^_^
. I've really no idea why this happens. According to my doctor, these things can be removed by simple, inexpensive operations.

2. I think to much to myself, and when I do, my usual technique for sorting through bad thoughts is to blow them out of proportion until I realise just how stupid they are. It generally works, but I feel really dumb afterwards for being worried about something so insignificant.

3. I'm pretty sure this is the case for nearly everybody. I assure myself that I'm not really the kind of person who bitches and whines about other people, when in some cases I do. My brothers are like that, so I'm positive I must be the same, or at least close to.

4. I'm a procrastinator, but only when it comes to doing work. If I want to do something fun or of worth to me, it gets done. Whereas if I'm given an assignment that doesn't really thrill me, I'll usually start it, leave it for the night and it gets done when I'm chased up about it. Moral: If you want me to do something for you, make sure I find it interesting. :) Oh, by the way, Aaron. I still don't have Flash, that's why you don't have a Z-files title yet, don't worry, I AM interested, but getting Flash is work, so there's the reason. :)

5. In line with the last one, I'm lazy. I took 3 days off from course last week just because the first day I was sick and the second and third days I couldn't be bothered getting out of bed to go there and miss Dragonball Z. This is my personal least favourite trait, so I'm expressing it in the hopes that it will make me a changed man. Here's hoping.

6. I always wear clothes that are familiar and comfortable, and very rarely anything else. I have one good suit and good shoes, but that's it. Everything else is pretty much tracksuit pants and T-shirts, with my Search & Rescue forest green Polar-tech jersey, and running shoes no matter what the occasion.

7. Lately I've been getting "the eye" from various girls I meet in the street, which pleases me greatly because I like getting "the eye", it boosts morale considerably and makes life liveable. Unfortunately, I'm still nowhere near getting to the stage where I could actually go and chat someone up, because I'm not really that kind of person yet. So, my love-life is dead, and probably will be for some time.

8. I love Milk, I drink it by the litre, I must go through about 2-3 litres of it a day. BUT!!! I only like the Blue-top pasteurized milk, nothing else will do. Trim or Skim milk just doesn't cut the mustard with me. It can be used springly for cups of tea occasionally, but never for drinking straight or bowls of cereal. This kind of narrow-mindedness gets me into a rut. I don't like ruts, either.

9. I give up in arguements to early. This can be considered a good thing, but when you're surrounded by people who always think that they have to be right, it gets old giving up arguements, especially when you know they're wrong. Take my brother for example, he always has to be on top of things, no matter if he's completely, horribly wrong. He'll just use blackmail to win an arguement, or raise his voice so the other person gives up just so he'll shut up, and even then he doesn't. Kevin's pretty bad at it, too, but at least when he realises he's wrong he turns it round so that somehow both of us are right in some way, and sometimes he'll even admit he was mistaken. But I still give up to easy.

10. And finally, I judge myself too much, I try to sum myself up too much, I compare myself too much, and I blame myself too much. That's basically the root of all my problems. If I managed to shallow these pools a bit I think I'd be far happier. I'm happy now, don't get me wrong, but I think I could be happier.

----

Anyhoo, that's enough. Time to play Quake 3, as entailed at the beginning of this e-mail. I've no idea if you can play Quake 3 demo over the Net, but I sure hope so!

:)
