Subject: Topic of sorts

Excuse this blatant advertisement, but I want to promote my new weekly discussion thread over on the FtLoT General Discussion Board. Basically, this week's attempt at starting a debate stems from my thoughts on the use of hit points in RPGs. Why hasn't anyone attempted to break away from the traditional hp numbers/heart containers? Is it possible to create a system with one hit kills and still make it fun without being overly frustrating? I figure if they can do a fighting game like Bushido Blade without life bars, then someone should be able to come up with a different RPG health basis.

Anyway, head over to the above link and give your thoughts on the subject. Thanks.

- Aaron (is heading to bed)
