Subject: Real Life Exoskeletons

For those of you who may not be aware, DARPA (the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency), the government organization mentioned in Metal Gear Solid, is quite real. My hat's off to the people who made the game, btw. Although some of the stuff they did wasn't horribly realistic for the time period it is set in, they DID do their homework well.

What I discovered the other day is that the exoskeleton worn by the Ninja in MGS may not be as far off as one might think. It turns out that the government really is seriously looking into building exoskeletons for the purpose of augmenting human performace. Granted we don't have the techology to build something like the one seen in the game YET, but it's a start.

http://www.darpa.mil is also an interesting site to look into if your interesting in high-tech military stuff.

Please leave a message at the beep
I must be out
Or else I'm asleep
Where could I be?
Believe it or not, I'm not home"
