I guess in the socialistic phrasing of the word Cloud is cool, but as the word pertains to the imagery of being calm and sophisticated, I don't think Cloud really slots into that catagory. Calm under pressure, yes. A reasonable Leader, yes. Cool? I don't think so. Squall, on the other hand... Yeesh.. Let's not go there.

God, I hope they don't make Tidus like Zell. His constant fly-swatting movements and pointless outbursts of physical exertion made me want to puke. And he was the character I LIKED amongst the FF8 Cast. Of course, he was never as low in my books as Squall. I swear, the moment that guy hit my screen I wanted to lay a boot into the front of his dulcet, monotonous, "cool" head, and dump him in a static bag to be sent directly to Silicon Hell.

Another Laguna type would be great, though. Laguna was the only guy I actually like straight off for what kind of guy he was. For starters, he's not a complete cliche' and he's a human-esque figure, prone to the same quirks and downfalls of simple man. Compared to Squall's unrelenting docile manner, Laguna was a very pleasant change of pace. For the first time in FF8, my eyes didn't have to be levered open with some bizzare contraption. I actually WANTED to see what would happen with him!
