I'm not sure as to how long this has been going on, but Square has had a merchandising deal with Coke for quite some time. Think I'm kidding? Check these out. I haven't added them to FtLoT yet, but they are limited edition "Crystal" Final Fantasy VII Coke Tifa toppers. Apparently, Coke has been issuing these "crystal" figures (they're actually red plastic) as part of special limited edition Coke bottles since FFVII. I've seen the sets for FFVII, FFVIII and (just yesterday) two of the ones from FFIX. I've seen them up on eBay occasionally (some as is, some painted to look like the characters). They go for about $4 U.S..

I'll try to hunt up a link to the FFIX commercial with Zidane chasing the Coke bottle top. I seem to recall seeing it on U.S. television once (but only once).

As for the "Asteroid Bell": I think it's a play on "Pacific Bell", the phone company we have out here in California (since I seem to recall part of PE2 takes place in Los Angeles). I never got the chance to finish PE2 when I rented it. I was last out in some desert town on the way to a hidden lab if I remember correctly. I think the first game was much better IMHO.
